Staff Application Period Ending on Saturday! (edited)

The staff application period will end Saturday at 11:59 PM CDT. Staff applications will not be accepted after then, unless you have a VERY good reason for not being on in the last couple of weeks. We have glanced through the applications we have received so far, but after Saturday, we will begin our final review process to determine our new staff (which hopefully won't take long). :)
Send in your application if you haven't (it's in the announcement below this one), and good luck to all!
EDIT: We will be contacting applicants over the next week or so with any further questions we may have.

EDIT: Just so people know, you logout either in a pub (get a room), or in your house dormitory. Forest is in Hogwarts, just like in the books/movies!
Well, we're a day late, and things are still incomplete, but we didn't want to hold everyone back any longer. The Houses system is in and working, as far as we know. Common rooms/dormitories are also in and working. There's a lot missing, but we plan on a rapid release schedule for the next few days to finish releasing more features. Check this announcement every so often, because we'll keep a list of added features here at the top! Also, report any bugs via petition, so we can fix them and credit you.
We have not made any staff decisions yet, so for now, Alex and I will fill the roles. We are still accepting staff applications, though, so follow the directions below from the previous Daily Prophet article:

HN: REVAMPED - WHAT TO EXPECT
Moving over to Revamped
As we have mentioned before, accounts will not be automatically moved over to Revamped. If we copied the database directly over, we would have a TON of unused accounts and settings in the database, which would just slow down Revamped. In addition, we would like everyone to have the opportunity to experience the new features, rather than automatically move back up to the top ranks. Therefore, Alex and I have decided on the following "transition policy":
1. All players will need to register new accounts on Revamped. Registering with the same email address as your current account will be beneficial to getting your account information transferred (see #2). If you read this in time, PLEASE make a copy of any bio info you wish to have on your Revamped bio, so you can add it back yourself! Due to the late posting of this announcement, some people may not have time to copy their bio info, so we will accept petitions on Revamped to copy your bio info over.
2. After obtaining your 7th Voldemort Meeting on Revamped, you may file a petition to have major stats from your original HN account transferred to your Revamped account. The "major stats" will be at least everything offered in our regular student transfers, though we haven't finalized the details yet.
3. We will not be accepting student transfers from other websites until further notice.
Still Revamping
Revamped should be treated as a beta/test environment, even though we have rigorously tested the various features. Although we have worked hard to complete the aforementioned features, Revamped will not be as feature-filled at launch as the current HN. One reason for this is to speed up the site; we hope to NEVER let Revamped get as bloated as HN did. Another reason is that we're being careful about what features we add, so we don't run into any compatibility or performance issues that seemed to plague HN. As we test new features, we will add them back in. Bug bounties will not be in effect at launch, though we will credit any bug reporters in announcements.

We know our lack of updates on HN scared away some people, so tell your friends we're back in full force, working to make HN better than ever! We have pages on Facebook, MySpace, myYearbook, and Twitter, so tell your friends to friend/like/follow our pages, and of course come back here and get their Hogwarts... Now!
